Hiring Part-Time Associate – Business Center

What is a Business Center?

We provide a wide array of business services such as shipping, printing, notary public, shredding, scanning, office supplies, and mailbox services. Our mission is to offer expert, friendly, and knowledgeable advice to everyone needing help with their own business or business tasks. Our customers might be business owners, entrepreneurs, seniors, non-techie individuals, students, newbies or foreigners who don’t speak English well. Our job is to be patient, helpful, understanding, listen and find creative ways to help people find solutions.

In addition, Our Business Center is also launching an art gallery department to represent all types of local artists and showcase their artworks. Be a part of building and shaping an exciting new art gallery. We will be promoting, selling, and printing artwork on demand, as well as offering space for events and gatherings.

 

Job Description:

We're seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused PART-TIME Associates with some design and software skills, social media and marketing experience to join our team. If you are sociable, creative, resourceful, and enjoy people, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

 

Responsibilities:

- Assist customers with shipping, mailing, mailboxes and packaging needs for UPS, FedEx, and USPS

- Provide printing, notary public, shredding, and passport photo services

- Support the art gallery department in promoting and displaying artworks

- Offer design, software skills, and social media marketing experience

- Solve packing and shipping challenges creatively and effectively

- Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for both customers and colleagues

 

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication in English and customer service skills

- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

- Able to type at least 25 words per minute

- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for 4 hours

- Bilingual in Chinese and Spanish is a plus

- Appreciation for art and creativity is beneficial

- All candidates MUST become a notary public. We will pay for your notary training and license, but you must pass a state and federal background check.

Compensation:  $20-$22/hr DOE
Employment type:  part-time 20-25hrs/wk Mon-Fri, sometimes Saturday.
